Red Velvet‘s Irene recently demonstrated why she’s cherished not just by her fans but also by many of her juniors in the industry.
Famously known for her generous nature, Irene once again lived up to her reputation as a “gifting fairy” by surprising the aespa members with a variety of snacks during their long practice sessions. Wendy didn’t call her the greatest woman of this generation for no reason!
Irene’s sweet gesture was appreciated by aespa, who took to Instagram to express their gratitude. The four juniors were delighted and shared their thanks through their Instagram stories.

The choice of watermelon as one of the snacks amused fans, as it’s known to be Irene’s representative fruit in Red Velvet. The thoughtful and amusing touch further endeared Irene to both aespa and ReVeluvs.
The bond between Red Velvet and aespa — the only active girl groups under SM Entertainment — has always been strong. Irene’s kind gesture is just one example of the supportive relationship they share. With seniors like Irene, it’s no wonder the younger artists feel so encouraged and motivated.
